Institute of Professional Excellence (IPE) is a private limited Company promoted by Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, Bankers and other professionals. The company is registered under the Companies Act, 2063 with an objective of imparting practical training in various fields. At the inception, IPE has offered professional training course on accountancy for students aspiring to develop their career in accountancy. IPE will be shortly launching training courses on banking, insurance, Office Secretary, company secretary, development sector accounting, marketing and other related areas

Demand & Supply of accountants in the market

Experience of many employers suggests that they have had difficulty in filling accountancy vacancies. With the growth of organized sector and establishment of new enterprises in the Country, demand for accounting services has risen. Although, students completing higher education in accountancy and finance has grown significantly, the need of trained and skilled accountant has not matched with the growth in demand. The deficit is supply has also arisen as a result of heavy outward migration of accountants in other countries.

Genuine Skill Shortage of human resources occurs when employers have difficulties filling their job vacancies because there are not enough individuals with the required skills in the potential labour market to fill the positions on offer. This is the exact situation faced by employers in the Nepalese market as far as accountants are concerned.

Due to the on-going disparity between the levels of supply and demand, IPE has visualized the need of skilled and trained accountants in the country and has offered this practical training course.
While the economy can not be predicted to grow at the expected level, strong growth in demand for accountants is expected to continue. Although supply through training has shown some growth in recent years, the approach followed my mushrooming growth of training institutes lack practical approach and the knowledge and skill acquired by participants after the training lags far behind their actual expectations.

This is why our professional bodies like the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal ensure that those who qualify by examinations acquire the relevant practical skills before gaining membership.
